The client approached me to develop a new brand, positioning strategy and Minimum Viable Product for their IoT Energy Management Solutions Startup. The challenge was to help them name the company, create a v1.0 design system, develop an MVP website/E-commerce platform, and initial marketing and investor materials to help them raise capital and expand their team and offering.

The Approach

Understanding our client’s business and competitors is the first step to a project’s success. Initial market research helped identify opportunities and drive the conversation to better assess the marketplace and more clearly identify the new entities’ position in it. Then, through a series of interviews and collaborative immersion workshops with the client, we defined the MVP roadmap using The MoSCoW method, a four-step approach to prioritizing which project requirements will provide the best return on investment (ROI).

 

 

 

 

The Results

We simplified the go-to-market strategy to focus on five main areas; Commercial IoT, Solar & Battery, E.V. Chargers, and Air Purification. We successfully developed the Branding, Investment and Sales Decks, 52-page Market Outlook & Investor Offering, Partnership Agreements, MVP Website & E-commerce platform, Initial Marketing Assets, and a go-forward strategy.
